Typhoon No. 7, an extremely powerful storm, is forecasted to make landfall in mainland Japan around August 15th to 16th, accompanied by strong winds and a risk of severe rainfall warnings. As a result, there is a possibility of disruption to the operations of the Tokaido Shinkansen and Sanyo Shinkansen.
JR (Japan Railway) has announced that, depending on the course and intensity of the typhoon, there is a potential for planned service suspensions and sudden operational halts within a certain period.
