Quantity

Departure station is Osaka, different from Shin-Osaka (Shinkansen station). For tickets departing from Shin-Osaka, please check here.

  • Departure: Osaka at 7:58 (weekday) / 8:02 (weekend and holiday)
  • Arrival: Takayama at 12:14 (weekday/weekend and holiday)
  • Time: 4 hours 12~16 minutes

Seat

  • Unreserved:
         You can have an available seat at non-reserved seat cars only.
  • Reserved
         You can have a reserved seat at reserved cars.
  • Green reserved not available between Osaka and Nagoya.

Ticket Pick-up / Delivery

You can choose the following options for picking-up/receiving tickets:

  • Ship to your hotel in Japan: We will ship your ticket(s) to your hotel in Japan. You can pick up your ticket(s) when you check-in the hotel
  • Ship to your home country address: We will ship your ticket(s) to your home/company address via International Express mail with additional shipping fee. Please add International Shipping from here.
  • Pick-up at Post offices in Tokyo, Osaka, or Kyoto: We will ship your ticket(s) to the post office located near Tokyo Station, Shin-Osaka Station, or Kyoto Station. You can pick-up your ticket(s) by showing your ID (Passport).
  • Ship to your address in Japan: We will ship your ticket(s) to your address in Japan if you have one in Japan.

Shinkansen Seats are available in four levels, depending on the comfort and services you require.

Reserved Seat (Ordinary Reserved Seat)

Your seat is reserved and secured when you book your tickets, allowing you to head to the station with peace of mind.
Think of it as "economy class" seating.

Green Reserved Seat

Enjoy better seats and free blankets. Popular among Japanese business people, executives, and those who prefer a comfortable travel experience.
Consider it "business class" seating.

GranClassGran Class Seat (only for limited lines)

Known as the "First Class" of Shinkansen seats.
Available only on the Hokuriku and Tohoku Shinkansen lines, these seats offer airline-like amenities and meals (only on select trains).
They are the most expensive option.

Unreserved Seat

You can take any open seat in the unreserved cars on the departure date (no departure time will be indicated on your ticket).
This is the best option if cost is your priority and you are traveling during less crowded seasons or times.
