Tokaido Shinkansen Partially Cancelled on Sep 1 and Alternative Travel Routes
Following the disruptions from the heavy rain caused by Typhoon No. 10 over the past two days, JR Central has announced that the Tokaido Shinkansen will also be fully suspended between Mishima and Nagoya on September 1st.
The Kodama train will temporarily be operated between the stations below, with a few trains per hour in each direction:
1) Tokyo and Mishima
2) Nagoya and Shin-Osaka
The Sanyo Shinkansen will operate but with significantly reduced services.

Please be aware that these routes may also be suspended due to bad weather, so be sure to check the latest information in advance.
