Following the disruptions on August 30, JR Central has also announced the cancellation of all trains between Mishima and Nagoya on August 31 due to the approach of Typhoon No. 10 (Shanshan) to Japan.
The Kodama train will temporarily be operated between the stations below, with a few trains per hour in each direction:
1) Tokyo and Mishima
2) Nagoya and Shin-Osaka
The Sanyo Shinkansen (between Shin-Osaka and Hakata stations) is scheduled to operate with a reduced number of trains from the first service of the day.
The Sanyo Shinkansen will operate throughout the day with trains starting and ending at Shin-Osaka Station, and direct services with the Tokaido Shinkansen will be suspended.
