The Tohoku Shinkansen, Yamagata Shinkansen, and Akita Shinkansen are currently suspended in both directions between Tokyo Station and Sendai Station due to a power outage.
As of 7:30 a.m., there is no prospect of resuming operations.
JR East reported that around 5:45 a.m. on March 29, 2024, the Tohoku Shinkansen was unable to receive power normally, leading to the suspension of services between Tokyo and Sendai.
