This is a great card for those traveling from Haneda Airport to Hamamatsucho (central Tokyo) via the Tokyo Monorail. The card is activated when you tap it at the ticket gate upon boarding the Tokyo Monorail at Haneda Airport Station, allowing you to unlimited ride JR lines within Tokyo for the rest of the day.
Also, after arriving in central Tokyo from Haneda airport, you can top up the Welcome Suica card to easily ride other trains (not JR lines) such as subways, buses, and taxis with the following mark with just a tap, without the need to purchase tickets each time.
Welcome Suica can be also used for shopping at stores displaying the following mark in the Tokyo area. So please ensure your card is sufficiently topped up before making any purchases.
