For those traveling from Narita Airport to central Tokyo (Tokyo, Shinjuku, Shinagawa, etc.) by train, we recommend the Welcome Suica with Narita to Tokyo JR lines 1-day pass.
For those looking to save money: With the benefits of this Welcome Suica, you can take the JR Narita Line Rapid from JR Narita Airport Station to central Tokyo without needing to top up the card (1-2 trains per hour). Additionally, you can ride on any JR lines within Tokyo, including local and rapid trains, with unrestricted use for the rest of that day.
For those in a hurry: Upon arrival at Narita Airport, simply purchase a seat reservation ticket for the Narita Express. The Narita Express operates approximately three times per hour. You can choose the time and seat type that suits you. Then, follow these steps: Step 1) Insert the purchased seat reservation ticket into the ticket gate, and Step 2) Tap the Welcome Suica. Of course, in this case, you can ride on any JR line within Tokyo, including local and rapid trains, with unrestricted use for the rest of that day, too.
Also, after arriving in central Tokyo from Narita airport, you can top up the Welcome Suica card to easily ride other trains (not JR lines) such as subways, buses, and taxis with the following mark with just a tap, without the need to purchase tickets each time.
Welcome Suica can be also used for shopping at stores displaying the following mark in the Tokyo area. So please ensure your card is sufficiently topped up before making any purchases.
