For those planning to visit Tokyo in November 2023, please be aware of the following:
Due to station improvement work at Shibuya Station, there are scheduled all-day service suspensions on a portion of the Yamanote Line for two days, November 18th and 19th, 2023.
The affected suspended sections are as follows:
Saturday, November 18th, 2023:
- Outbound (clockwise) direction from Osaki to Shibuya, Shinjuku, and Ikebukuro.
Sunday, November 19th, 2023:
- Inbound (counterclockwise) direction from Ikebukuro to Shinjuku, Shibuya, and Osaki.
The construction work will take place from the first train to the last train on both days, totaling 52 hours. Train services outside this section are also expected to have reduced frequencies.
Please note that in the event of inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances preventing the work on the scheduled dates, the construction may be postponed to December 15th to 18th, 2023.
