Exploring Tokyo Station Area: Marunouchi Illumination 2023
For over 20 years, a winter tradition has graced Marunouchi, an area within walking distance from JR Tokyo Station's Marunouchi exit – that tradition being the Christmas season illuminations.
This year, from November 16, 2023 (Thursday) to February 18, 2024 (Sunday), the heart of Marunouchi, specifically Marunouchi Naka-dori, the main street spanning approximately 1.2km in the Marunouchi area (Otemachi, Marunouchi, Yurakucho), will be adorned with over 1.2 million LED lights in an elegant Champagne gold hue, illuminating more than 300 street trees.
Moreover, in three blocks of Marunouchi Naka-dori and Gyoko-dori, "Marunouchi Street Park 2023 Winter" will feature various kitchen cars offering delightful street food experiences. Enter the festive spirit with the "Glass House Market," where you can find Christmas-themed food and merchandise.
Don't miss the skating rink along Gyoko-dori, connecting Tokyo Station and the Imperial Palace! Imagine indulging in delicious treats, skating, all while enjoying the illuminated Tokyo Station—a truly luxurious experience.
