Shinkansen Ticket Online Booking : Tokyo to Kyoto (NOZOMI)【FAST SERVICE】QR voucher

Departure date and train (time)

Fast Service reservations can be made from 4 days before the travel date until noon (Japan time) on 1 day before. For non-Fast Service, please check From Tokyo to Kyoto and From Kyoto to Tokyo.

Travel time is approximately 2 hours 10 minutes. An available train will be arranged for the selected time slot.

Quantity

If you are a group of more than two, your seats will be arranged together. We will inform you separately in case we cannot arrange seats together.

Ticket type: QR voucher

  • Your ticket information will be sent via email as a QR voucher, allowing you to issue physical tickets directly at the station using the QR code.
  • All “Fast Service” items will be provided as QR voucher-based tickets.

  • Departure: Tokyo
  • Arrival: Kyoto
  • Tokaido shinkansen

Seat

  • Unreserved:
         You can have an available seat at non-reserved seat cars only.
  • Reserved
         You can have a reserved seat at reserved cars.
  • Green reserved
         You can have a business class seat at Green cars.

All seats will be reserved at non-smoking cars.

      Train type 

      • Nozomi (3 non-reserved seat cars)
             -Stops at major cities only

      Tip for Mt. Fuji view on the way to Kyoto

      In good weather, you can see Mt. Fuji from shinkansen on your way to Kyoto. The best seat to see Mt. Fuji is window side seats on the right hand.
      The best time to see Mt. Fuji is approximately 44 minutes after departing Tokyo station. Please check windows on the right hand side.

      QR Voucher Usage

      Issuing physical tickets at the JR station using the QR voucher is required.

      • You need to issue physical tickets directly at the JR station using the QR code.
      • For details about how to issue tickets from the QR voucher, please check [How to Pick Up Tickets Using QR Code] page.

      Important Notes

      • You cannot board the train with only the QR voucher. Please ensure you issue your physical tickets at the station ticket machine before boarding.
      • On the travel day, please go to the station with plenty of time to print your ticket, ideally, at least 30 minutes before the departure time.
      • Once the boarding time for the reserved train has passed, the QR code will become invalid.

      Shinkansen seats are available in four levels depending on the comfort and services your require.

      Reserved Seat (Ordinary Reserved Seat)

      Your seat is reserved and secured when you book your tickets. Head to the station with a peace of mind. Consider it as "economy class" seats.

      Green Reserved Seat

      Better seats and free blankets. Popular among Japanese business persons, executives and people who values comfortable travel. Consider it as "business class" seats.

      GranClassGran Class Seat (only for limited lines)

      Know as "First Class" of Shinkansen seats. Only available on Hokuriku and Tohoku Shinkansen lines. Gran Class seats comes with airline-like amenities and meals (only for limited trains). .The most expensive of all.

      Unreserved Seat

      You can take any open seats in unreserved cars of any train on the departure date. (No departure time will be indicated on your tickets.)
      The best seat type if your priority is the cost and are traveling during less-crowded season/time.
