Echigo Yuzawa
Kagura, Mitsumata, Tashiro, and Naeba fan out from a single Shinkansen station — high-elevation powder linked by the world's longest gondola.

One station, a whole ski region
Echigo-Yuzawa is less a single resort than a gateway — Kagura, Mitsumata, and Tashiro spread across a high ridge behind the station, linked to Naeba by the Dragondola, one of the world's longest gondolas. High elevation means powder lingers here long after lower resorts turn slushy.
🚡 World-class Dragondola
A 5,481 m gondola links the Kagura area with Naeba — one of the longest cableways anywhere.
🏔 High and reliable
Kagura's terrain runs from 620 m to 1,845 m, keeping snow quality high into spring.
❄️ Long season
Elevation keeps some areas skiable from late November into Golden Week in May.
🎿 Three areas, one pass
Kagura, Mitsumata, and Tashiro share a lift pass and connecting runs — pick your base, ski them all.

- Ponshu-kan — Taste dozens of Niigata sakes inside the station, plus a sake-infused onsen bath.
- Local specialties — Koshihikari rice, snow crab in season, and Niigata sake pair well after a powder day.
- Station-area izakaya — A good cluster of casual restaurants and bars sits just outside the station.
- Good to know — If staying up at Kagura or Mitsumata, dining options are more limited — plan on lodge or hotel dinners.
