Suite aux perturbations du 30 août, JR Central a également annoncé l'annulation de tous les trains entre Mishima et Nagoya le 31 août en raison de l'approche du typhon n°10 (Shanshan) sur le Japon.
Le train Kodama circulera temporairement entre les gares ci-dessous, avec quelques trains par heure dans chaque direction :
1) Tokyo et Mishima
2) Nagoya et Shin-Osaka
Le Sanyo Shinkansen (entre les gares de Shin-Osaka et de Hakata) sera exploité avec un nombre réduit de trains à partir du premier service de la journée.
Le Sanyo Shinkansen fonctionnera tout au long de la journée avec des trains commençant et finissant à la gare de Shin-Osaka, et les services directs avec le Tokaido Shinkansen seront suspendus.
