En raison de l'approche du typhon n°10 (Shanshan) au Japon, JR Central a annoncé l'annulation de tous les trains entre Mishima et Nagoya le 30 août.
Le train Kodama circulera temporairement entre les gares ci-dessous, avec quelques trains par heure dans chaque direction :
1) Tokyo et Mishima
2) Nagoya et Shin-Osaka
Le Sanyo Shinkansen mettra également en œuvre une "suspension planifiée" entre les gares de Hiroshima et Hakata à partir du premier train de la journée jusqu'à environ 10h00 le 30 août.
Les trains continueront à circuler entre les gares de Shin-Osaka et Hiroshima.
