Se prevé que el tifón n.º 7, una tormenta extremadamente potente, toque tierra en Japón continental el 16 de agosto. Debido a la previsión de fuertes vientos y alertas por lluvias torrenciales, se ha previsto suspender algunas operaciones de trenes Shinkansen y Limited Express.
JR Central ya ha anunciado que todas las operaciones del Tokaido Shinkansen entre Tokio y Nagoya se cancelarán hoy.
Además, sólo circularán algunos trenes especiales cada hora entre Nagoya y Shin-Osaka.
