2024년 12월 27일부터 2025년 1월 5일까지 도카이도 및 산요 신칸센 "노조미" 노선의 모든 좌석은 지정석으로만 운영되며, 자유석은 이용할 수 없습니다.
이번 조치는 연말 연휴 기간 동안 예상되는 혼잡을 해소하기 위해 시행됩니다. 해당 기간 동안 모든 "노조미" 열차는 지정 좌석제로 운행됩니다.
과거 경험에 비추어 볼 때, 연말연시와 같은 주요 연휴 기간에는 지정석이 빠르게 매진되어 비지정석 대기 시간이 길어지고 승하차 시 지연이 발생할 수 있습니다. 따라서 모든 "노조미" 서비스는 연말연시 기간 동안 지정석제로만 운행됩니다.
히카리, 코다마, 미즈호, 사쿠라 등 다른 신칸센 열차는 기존과 같이 좌석 지정 없이 탑승 가능합니다. 다만, 좌석이 한정되어 있어 매우 혼잡할 것으로 예상됩니다.
