For FIXED DATE tickets, we will reserve your seats in advance.

    • You NEED TO RESERVE your seat by yourself at the ticket machines located at JR stations in Japan
    • Open date tickets are valid in 30 days from your estimated departure date, excluding the following dates:
      • January 1st ~ January 6th
      • April 27th ~ May 6th
      • August 10th ~ August 19th
      • December 28th ~ December 31st
  • Fixed date (Reserved in advance)
    • You DO NOT NEED to do any actions.
    • Your seat will be reserved in advance by us.
    • If you order 2 or more tickets, your seats will be arranged together.
      (We will inform you in case we cannot arrange seats together.)

    Seat

    • Ordinary
           You can have an ordinary seat at ordinary cars.
    • Green
           You can have a business class seat at Green cars.

        Train type 

        • Nozomi
               -Stops at major cities only
               -Used for travel to major cities, such as Nagoya, Kyoto, and Shin-Osaka
        • Hikari
               -Stops at more cities than Nozomi, but fewer cities than Kodama
        • Kodama
               -Stops at all stations

        Shinkansen time table from Tokyo to Nagoya

        • The first train from Tokyo to Nagoya: Depart Tokyo at 6:00  - Arrive Nagoya at 8:08 (Nozomi No.1)
        • The last train from Tokyo to Nagoya: Depart Tokyo at 21:23 - Arrive Nagoya at 22:57 (Nozomi No. 265)
          There is Hikari Shinkansen departing Tokyo at 22:00 and arriving Nagoya at 23:49 (Hikari No. 539)

        Tip for Mt. Fuji view on the way to Nagoya

        In good weather, you can see Mt. Fuji from shinkansen on your way to Nagoya. The best seat to see Mt. Fuji is window-side seats on the right hand.
        The best time to see Mt. Fuji is approximately 44 minutes after departing Tokyo station. Please check the windows on the right-hand side.

        You can choose the following options for receiving tickets:

        • Ship to hotel in Japan: We will ship your ticket(s) to your hotel in Japan. You can pick up your ticket(s) when you check-in the hotel
        • Ship to your home country address: We will ship your ticket(s) to your home/company address via International Express mail with additional shipping fee. Please add International Shipping from here.
        • Pick-up at Post office located next to Tokyo station: We will ship your ticket(s) to the post office located next to Tokyo station. You can pick-up your ticket(s) by showing your ID (Passport).

        Seat guide

        Shinkansen seats are available in four levels depending on the comfort and services your require.

        Ordinary Seat

        Regular seats used on Reserved cars and Unreserved cars of Shinkansen. Consider it as "economy class" seat.

        Green Seat

        Better seats with more space than ordinary seats. All Green Seats are reserved only. Consider it as "business class" seats.

        Reserved Seat (Ordinary Reserved Seat)

        Your seat is reserved and secured when you book your tickets. Head to the station with a peace of mind.
        Seats are the same as Ordinary Seat.

        Green Reserved Seat

        Better seats and free blankets. Popular among Japanese business persons, executives and people who values comfortable travel. Consider it as "business class" seats.

        GranClass Seat

        Know as "First Class" of Shinkansen seats. Only available on Hokuriku and Tohoku Shinkansen lines. Gran Class seats comes with airline-like amenities and meals.The most expensive of all.

        Unreserved Seat

        You can take any open seats in unreserved cars of any train on the departure date. (No departure time will be indicated on your tickets.)
        The best seat type if your priority is the cost and are traveling during less-crowded season/time.
