Order Steps: Go to Travel Campaign

Below are the steps that will take after we receive a confirmation for your budget of the Go To Travel trip.

 

1) ARRANGE YOUR TRIP

Once we get a confirmation for your budget, our hotel reservation team will look into the hotel availability and get back to you with a package plan with an estimate*.
If we cannot find any accommodation within your budget, we will let you know.

*Please note that the estimate includes 20% of the travel price as a handling charge.

 

2) ISSUE AN INVOICE

If you like the package plan and would like to proceed with the payment, we will send you an invoice via email.
In case you don't like the plan we can always amend the Shinkansen departure/arrival time and accommodation within the budget.

 

3) COMPLETE THE PAYMENT

Once you complete your payment*, we will book the accommodation, purchase the Shinkansen tickets.
You will also receive your Go To Travel Coupon PIN information for the electronic coupon at this point. 

*We accept Credit card (AMEX/VISA/Master) and PayPal
*Please check our cancellation/refund policy in advance.

 

4) SHIP TICKETS TO YOUR ADDRESS

We will ship your Shinkansen tickets and Go To Travel Coupons (only for those who chose to receive the paper coupons) your home address before your departure date.


 

How to use the GO TO Travel Coupons

You can use the Go To Travel coupons to make the payment for shoppings.

Your coupons can be redeemed at restaurants, souvenir shops, sightseeing facilities and transportation facilities at the campaign member shops ONLY.

Coupon can be used only in a prefecture where your accommodation is located and neighboring prefectures, from 15:00 on the day you check in at the hotel until 23:59 on your return date.

Seat guide

Shinkansen seats are available in four levels depending on the comfort and services your require.

Ordinary Seat

Regular seats used on Reserved cars and Unreserved cars of Shinkansen. Consider it as "economy class" seat.

Green Seat

Better seats with more space than ordinary seats. All Green Seats are reserved only. Consider it as "business class" seats.

Reserved Seat (Ordinary Reserved Seat)

Your seat is reserved and secured when you book your tickets. Head to the station with a peace of mind.
Seats are the same as Ordinary Seat.

Green Reserved Seat

Better seats and free blankets. Popular among Japanese business persons, executives and people who values comfortable travel. Consider it as "business class" seats.

GranClass Seat

Know as "First Class" of Shinkansen seats. Only available on Hokuriku and Tohoku Shinkansen lines. Gran Class seats comes with airline-like amenities and meals.The most expensive of all.

Unreserved Seat

You can take any open seats in unreserved cars of any train on the departure date. (No departure time will be indicated on your tickets.)
The best seat type if your priority is the cost and are traveling during less-crowded season/time.
